With an incurable fascination of warps and wefts, I am an Australian multi-award winning artist specialising in handweaving. I create both 2D and 3D artworks across multiple craft disciplines with the fundamentals of weaving always at the core of my work. Whilst weaving, I reflect on the delicate, harmonious balance of tension between warp and weft elements in the creation of woven fabric or objects and liken this harmony of tension to metaphors about life. This enables me to explore themes of community, sustainability, providing a personal narrative and form of self-expression, whilst simultaneously reigniting the value and beauty of handwoven textiles.
